STRATEGIC PLANNING

The G-Group Strategic Plan ModelTM interprets the reality of an organization's current state via integrated research and evidenced-based methodologies. We produce expected deliverables in most Strategic Plan outcomes: A written document that includes a District’s Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives, along with a 5-7 year timeline for the plan’s implementation. It also includes a road map for aligning the plan to the District’s LCAP and school site plans. However, we go way beyond the typical Strategic Plan outcomes from three different POVs:

  • Our tenacious POV is to discover the culture of an organization to help articulate its values and beliefs to be the foundation for planning and execution.

  • We create a story (short film) of the planning experience that more effectively communicates your strategies to your team and community stakeholders.

  • We produce exceptional graphics, communication, and marketing materials to enlist people to know about and execute the plan.

The G-Group places a premium on a district’s culture and systems:

  • We articulate people’s collective beliefs, values, and perspectives and ask WHY your individuals and teams spend their precious time, energy, and resources.

  • We work with our clients to construct sustainable systems that will transform organizations.

  • We set ourselves apart from other strategic planning processes because we create a story (short film) to enlist and motivate your teachers, staff, administrators, students, and parents.

POV: What we DON’T do in our strategic planning is:

  • Waste people’s precious time asking them disingenuous questions they know will not be considered in the strategic plan.

  • Include everyone’s voice until everyone has a say, and then produce a plan that tries to please everyone and ends up pleasing no one (ending up in mush!).

  • Producing so many goals and measures that the plan itself is unrealistic.

  • Write a plan and produce a story that checks off a box.

  • Deliver a plan that is more operational (project plans)  than more aspirational (beliefs, values, and culture).
